Hardhead Catfish are a very common species of inland bays and channels across the state. They are commonly caught by fisherman but are actually a nuisance as they are not good to eat and are difficult to safely release due to the stiff spines in the pectoral and dorsal fins. They feed on just about anything and are very opportunistic.
