Land Planarians are predatory worms that have been introduced into Florida through contaminated soil from imported plants. They require damp and dark habitats and are often found under logs, rocks or under the top layer of soil. They feed on earthworms and have few predators themselves as they excrete a substance through their skin that tastes bad and may even be toxic.
