The Long-headed Toothpick Grasshopper is a common grasshopper of open woodlands in Florida and across the southeast. As the name indicates, the grasshopper has a long toothpick shaped body and is typically the same color as a toothpick. This is one of the many species of grasshopper that make sounds through stridulation, the process of rubbing together two parts of their body.
