The Longbract Wakerobin is one of the earliest flowers to bloom in late winter and early spring in the panhandle of Florida. It grows best in limestone soil and is the most widely distributed of the four species of Trillium found in the state. It grows only a few inches above the ground and appears and blooms before the forest canopy leafs out.
