Inkberry, also known as Gallberry, is a shrub that forms mound shaped colonies and grows to about 10 feet in height. A member of the holly family, it has small black berries that are popular with wildlife, particularly birds. It is also an important source of pollen for honey bees and Inkberry or Gallberry honey is sold throughout the southeast.
